About Us
In early 2008 Raymond Ware, our Creative Director, took a small step from his very successful Visual Merchandising business (CR13) and onto a new path, beginning an exploratory journey into the world of wedding styling. This was not a deliberate or strategic initiative, but came about simply in response to a wish expressed by one of our most faithful and loyal friends.
Tonia Turka (from Desa Leather), when preparing for her eldest daughter, Leyla’s, wedding, simply said to Raymond, “You have to help us make Leyla’s wedding fabulous!” Not being one to shy away from a creative challenge, Raymond threw himself into the fray…and the rest is history!
Leyla’s wedding went on to be featured in a leading glossy magazine and the beautiful bride was nominated for Bride of the Year. Check out the gallery for pictures!
Ever since this unscheduled departure from Raymond’s original business roadmap, the demand for Raymond to do more and more event and wedding styling began to grow and very soon overtook the demand for Raymond’s Visual Merchandising talents and so THE STYLING COMPANY was born. Our aim is to offer a good range of quality decorative items for couples to hire for their wedding so that their special day stands out from the rest.
They say that success breeds success and while THE STYLING COMPANY has continued to go from strength to strength, we don’t ever lose sight of our humble origins and the fact that it has been the support of our special friends that has helped us along the way.
So no matter whether it’s an anniversary, birthday, commitment ceremony, engagement, wedding or the company Christmas party that you’re planning, we’ll take the time to listen to you and understand what would make your celebration the best. Then we’ll just do whatever it takes to deliver on our promise.

Raymond Ware, our Creative Director, draws on over 20 years of experience in Millinery, Floristry, Fashion, Costume Design, Visual Merchandising and as a department store buyer, together with formal studies in many design and creative disciplines, to offer fresh solutions for clients looking to host functions and events that stand out from the crowd.
Through this broad and deep career experience, Raymond has developed innumerable skills that have proved invaluable in creating event themes and design concepts that readily translate from concept to reality.

You are a man of your word, it looked exactly how we discussed, everything was in its place, and I was totally blown away! Actually so was everyone else, I received so many comments, all the hundreds of white candles and white flowers absolutely everywhere created such a romantic vibe whilst the contrast of the streamlined up lights on the walls created a more grand architectual feel, black screens, palms, more candles, black frames, the black candles sticks contrasting with the white candles... all together created the PERFECT feel and atmosphere, I wanted edgy, modern, clean lines, simple, elegant, and thats exactly what it was, you're quite simply, a genius!
To see you there when I arrived was such a relief as well, I new instantly that you had gone that extra mile for me to make sure everything was just perfect and complete... thanks Ray.
I'm going to miss our vino fuelled "meetings" and chats, you always made me laugh, we were always on a high when we left your place...I'll miss you :-(
